Description: We are looking for a detached, private, rural property with no near

neighbours whilst our house is being renovated. Short or could possibly be

Description: We are looking for a smallholding with a 3/4 bed house and poss min 2acres but

would consider less for right place.

We breed traditional and rare breed poultry including chickens, ducks & geese, we would also like to keep goats 

and make cheese land permitting, but predominantly expand to a larger flock of chickens.

We like to be self sufficient in veg, fruit, cut flowers and plants so ground for appropriate beds are needed 

as is room for my greenhouses, potting shed and work shop.

We would be very interested in a property in need of some tlc and refurbishment in return for a long let and reasonable rent, 

we have replaced kitchen, bathroom, flooring and plastered and redecorated throughout here, but this is just too small for our 

requirements now, hence the need to move.

We did rent a 2 acre farm in Somerset, however it was sold and we had to move, I myself have been bought up in the country 

and spent many long summers working on the farm opposite my house and my daughter is just finishing a national diploma

in animal care and nursing, my husband is very handy around the place so we do have plenty of knowledge etc between us, 

we do run a small plant and craftsbusiness also which is my baby this is why extra space is needed.

Description: I am seeking a cottage with land (woodland would be fine)in a rural/semi rural

location but accessible for transport links/services/postal services etc even if

these are some distance away. Must accept pets as I will be bringing 4 dogs with

me (one large 3 small all well behaved) and will also be bringing a large cat chalet for my cats.

I am a Bereavement Counsellor/Website Owner/Writer and intend to work from home

from the property so would need broadband or dial up internet access. Land is

required for a level of self sufficiency as well as dog walking close to property.

Very happy (in fact would prefer) to consider 'tatty' run down properties

providing they have some form of electric, water and phoneline. I have rented

properties like this before and thoroughly enjoyed decorating and doing them up.

I only left these properties as they were sold again during my time there and

the new owners decided to resell them during the 'boom' : (

Very long term lets preferred - years and years preferably. I own my own cottage

outright and will be renting this out and eventually selling it in the future

once I find a smallholding/cottage with land to rent long term. I would be very

happy to rent the right property forever given the opportunity.

Comments: I retired from working in London a few years ago and am now working on building

up an income from home to allow me to live anywhere.  I have been looking to

move to Wales for the past 10 years and am now in the fortunate position to be

able to do so.  I am quite 'handy' and have been renovating my own Victorian

cottage for the past few years, which is now near completion.  I love my current

cottage but it lacks the land or views I am seeking and to be honest I am a

country girl at heart and only worked in the city because it allowed me to pay

off my mortgage early.
