Rural property to let and wanted to let
Farm to let in Suffolk
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lease part of a farm in south Suffolk.
The available land comprises around 10 acres of established apple and pear orchards and approximately 40 acres of grassland (some of which currently carries a green manure cover crop). Both a 2 bedroom and a 4 bedroom property are expected to become available to rent on the farm later this year.
An agricultural building will be available to the tenant and possible access to other buildings can be discussed.
The owner intends to shortly instigate organic conversion of the orchards and the grassland with a view to the tenant managing them organically. The successful conversion of the orchards is one of the owner’s priorities. Should a tenant not wish to lease the orchards consideration would be given to excluding them from the lease.
The land and orchard will be offered with a lease which recognises the long term nature of organic farming.
The land is generally sloping and is believed to be classed in the lower Grades.
The property is around 1.5 miles from the nearest village where there is a primary school.
Please note that the leased property is not suitable for equestrian enterprises or large numbers of domestic animals.
The owner invites expressions of interest from parties with the drive and enthusiasm to develop sustainable farming or horticultural enterprises on the land.
